James Falaschi (Chief Executive Officer)
Mr. Falaschi is a commercial real estate developer with over 35 years experience in Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco counties. Born and raised in Oakland, he continually devotes significant effort to the community through his position on various governmental, educational, medical, and non-profit boards.
Mr. Falaschi was a founding partner in Jack London Square Investors, the master developer of Jack London Square. The project, which is hailed as an ideal example of a successful public/private partnership, is the cornerstone to Oakland’s commitment to applying ‘smart growth ’ principles to the revitalization of its downtown. Currently in Phase II, the project has received approval to add an additional 1,000,000 square feet to the existing 800,000 square foot waterfront development.
Michael Hastings (Chief Operating Officer)
Mr. Hastings is a private investor with forty years experience in domestic and international businesses . He has been an investor, business advisor and board member on several technology startups.
He was Senior Vice President, Professional Services for Commerce One, Inc ., where he built the worldwide consulting group into a $75 million business. Mr. Hastings was also a national practice leader for KPMG - an international consulting and accounting firm.
Brendan Heafey (Vice President, Business Development)
Mr. Heafey is a third generation Oakland, California native with strong ties to the local business community. He is a commercial real estate broker, consultant, and investor with a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Brendan operates a real estate brokerage business under Heafey Commercial, and is a principal in a consulting firm with James Falaschi . A partial list of his clients includes: Children’s Hospital & Research Center at Oakland, Samuel Merritt University, Holy Names University, and Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.
The Bay Area Regional Center received Regional Center designation on June 23, 2009 and expanded August 5,2010 to now include eight counties.
